An opportunity for members of our organization to take part in an international day of social action, and make a difference in the communities around us!

Ve’ahavta Winter Clothing Drive
Mission: Ve’ahavta is a Jewish humanitarian organization dedicated to promoting positive change in the lives of people of all faiths and backgrounds who have been marginalized by poverty and hardship.
What is needed: Winter coats, hats, mittens, long underwear, sweatpants, and hoodies Men’s and women’s coats would be great, as well as hats and gloves/mittens.
Special instructions: Client base is 70% men and 30% women, stress on the men’s items.

Chai Lifeline Canada Chanukkah Toy Drive
Mission: With over 400 families across Canada, Chai Lifeline Canada provides services and programs for children and families impacted by long term and chronic illness. All children who are clients of Chai Lifeline have the opportunity to visit the Chai Lifeline ‘Toy Store’ and choose a toy, all of which are donated.
What is needed: Toys, games, puzzles, stuffed animals, arts and crafts supplies, children’s book
Special Requirements: Must be new, unwrapped and in original packages. Spend $25 or more and receive a tax receipt. Go to www.chailifelinecanada.org/toydrive to submit your receipts.

Fill a Purse for a Sister Campaign
Mission: Fill a Purse For a Sister Campaign brings comfort, hope and dignity to women and youth in crisis with the gift of purses filled with personal necessities. Donations of filled purses will be donated to domestic violence shelters, womens shelters, rape crisis centers & social services that support women.
What is needed: A gently used and previously loved purse filled with any of the following items: bath soap, body wash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, flashlights, gift cards, gloves, hair brushes, hand sanitizer, lip balm, notepads, pens,scarves, shampoo, conditioner, socks, tissues, toothbrushes, toothpaste,whistles
Special Requirements: New,unused items only and no hotel products please- full size products preferred. Purses should not be worn, soiled or ripped and no food products or expired products.
