NCJWC Toronto has been in existence for over a century. As a member, you can enjoy the rewards of helping others while fulfilling our mandate of service, education and advocacy. Participation brings personal satisfaction.
NCJWC Toronto welcomes the initiative and forward thinking of members in developing programs and projects that will enhance our work in the community and bring like-minded women together to further our mandate. We are built on team spirit, friendship and camaraderie.
We are an organization that supports many Jewish and community programs (e.g. Human Trafficking, Jewish Genetic Diseases Awareness and Screening Project, Gift of Life – Organ and Tissue Donation). We are proud to be the sole Canadian supporter of ALUMA, a family counselling service in Israel.

Group structured around a theme (book club, study club), friends, location, age or service project.
Service projects can include conducting holiday events at our NCJWC Toronto apartment building (Bathurst Prince Charles), assembling backpacks for children and our Passover Food Drive.

- Toronto Jewish Quilting Project

The Toronto section currently has over 500 members including 23 branches and many general members.
NCJWC Toronto is one strong component of a national organization. National Council of Jewish Women of Canada is the umbrella organization of Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver sections. The sections throughout Canada share the same mandate and organizational structure but operate independently reflecting their own community.
National Council of Jewish Women of Canada is the only Jewish women’s organization in Canada represented on the International Council of Jewish Women, a large organization that has many affiliates throughout the world. This organization has a voice at the United Nations.
If membership is not an option, we will gladly welcome you as a volunteer. Participation in our programs and volunteer opportunities are open to the public.
